The Eastern Freeway

It is a 16.8 kilometer (10.4 miles) long, 4-lane broad, controlled-access highway, primarily built to reduce travel time between South Mumbai and Eastern Suburbs.

It passes through areas like Wadi Bandar, Mumbai Port Trust road, and Wadala, joins the Anik-Panjarpol Link Road (APLR), and finally extends upto Chheda Nagar in Ghatkopar, where it meets the Eastern Express Highway. The Eastern Freeway officially ends at Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road (GMLR) near Indian Oil Nagar.

Eastern Freeway is an important link between Eastern Express Highway and the Atal Setu (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link) that runs between Sewri in Mumbai and Chirle in Navi Mumbai, bringing locations across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai closer.
